Lilongwe, known as the garden city, is developing at a tremendous speed and our city tour includes areas of interest like the New Parliament buildings, the Kamuzu Banda Mausoleum, War Memorial, the Tobacco Auction floors, the Wildlife centre, Lilongwe Market and the vendors market.

Itinerary

09.00 or 13.00 - We collect you from your hotel / residence and drive with brief stops at the mausoleum,
war memorial and past the New parliament building to the tobacco Auction floors [when the auction floors are closed we will visit the Kumbali cultural village]. On arrival at the floors you will be briefed and shown the auctioning procedure,before heading back into town and visiting the Lilongwe and vendors market. After this we stop and enjoy a drink at the Wildlife centre followed by a tour of the facility.

You will be dropped back at your hotel by approx 13.00.

Transport from / to your hotel in Lilongwe, services of birding guide, 1 X bottle of water
and tea / coffee and a muffin.

Did you know When caring for their young, the female Giraffe will leave their calves together during the day to feed. A calf will grow very fast when young, even up to an inch per day. By two months, the calf will be feeding on leaves and by six months, it will be quite independent of its mother. There are nine species of Giraffe.
