This tour takes us North from Lilongwe towards Kasungu town, where we branch off and continue to the National Park. Kasungu Park is one of Malawi’s least known parks, but hosts an impressive array of wild animals.
The different habitat, coupled with dambo’s, streams , hills and a dam offers protections for Lichtensteins Hartebeest, Sable, Kudu, Reedbuck, Impala etc as well as Elephant, Buffalo and various predator species.
Lifupa Lodge, in the heart of the park overlooks a dam of the same name where an endemic group of Puku have taken up residence, after migrating from nearby Zambia. The park is not blessed with big concentrations of game, however the varied scenery interspersed with animals make this an enjoyable day out.
Itinerary – Depart Lilongwe at 08.30 - Arrive back in Lilongwe at 15.00.
Tour price includes – Transport to Kasungu Park return, Entrance fee, services of qualified Land and Lake Guide, Picnic Lunch taken at Lifupa in the grounds overlooking the dam. Tour done in a specialized 4X4 safari vehicle with game viewing hatches
