LAND AND LAKE SAFARIS BOOKING CONDITIONS


1. How to book
Once you have decided what safari you would like, please e-mail us and we will confirm availability. A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the tour fare is needed to secure your participation / reservation. Once we have [or receive proof of this payment together with your completed booking form, your booking is confirmed and accepted by us. Final and full payment must be made prior to the safari/ occupation. In the case of Bank transfers - Please allow 14 days prior to departure. Cash & travellers cheques are accepted on the day of departure / participation. If paying in Malawi Kwacha please note we use the HIGHER BUYING rate of commercial money bureaus.
Payments by credit card carry a 6% bank charge - should your credit card be rejected it is your responsibility to call the credit card company or settle your bill by other means.

2. Cancellations refunds as follows: -
For safaris,
as far as possible, you will be offered an alternative date without penalty - should this not be possible, we charge –
Cancellation fees until 31 days prior to departure:- 20 % of the itinerary cost
       30 -21 days prior to departure: 25% of itinerary cost
       20 – 11 days prior to departure: 40 % of itinerary cost
       10 – 0 days prior to departure: 60% of itinerary cost

3. Insurance
Travel insurance covering cancellation, curtailment and all medical expenses inclusive air evacuation is compulsory for all clients traveling with Land and Lake. The reservation office may ask to see proof of your insurance policy.

4. Passports, and departure taxes.
It is the sole responsibility of the guest to ensure that his / her passport and relevant travel documents are in order.
VISAS – This is the responsibility of the client - Land and Lake cannot accept responsibility for costs, delays or non participation due to immigration problems. Any resultant costs will be yours to bear.

5. Health
Anti-malaria precautions must be taken, and these are the sole responsibility of the guest. Consult your doctor or pharmacist. YELLOW FEVER CERTIFICATES ARE REQUIRED TO ENTER ZAMBIA – Land & Lake cannot assist with this.

6. Responsibility
Neither LAND & LAKE (herein called the company) nor any person acting for, through or on behalf of the company shall be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever and without restricting the generality of the foregoing shall particularly not be responsible for loss or damage arising from any errors or omissions contained in it’s brochure or any other literature, late or non-confirmation or acceptance of bookings, loss or damage caused by delays, sickness, injury or death, whether occasioned by negligence or not.

In addition the company shall have the right at any time at it’s discretion to cancel any tour or the remainder thereof or make any alteration in route or time should any cause in the opinion of the company make it necessary to do so, and shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever arising from such cancellation or alteration.

The person making any booking will, by the making of such booking, warrant that he or she has authority to enter into a contract on behalf of the other person/s included in such a booking and in the event of the failure of any or all of the other persons so included to make payment, the person making the booking shall by his / her signing of the booking form assume personal liability for the total price of all bookings made by him / her
