7 Day THORNICROFT - Luangwa Valley

Persons:- Minimum 4 to guarantee this departure.
Day 1: - Meet at the Land and Lake Office at 0830 in the morning. [A free collection service is offered to clients in Lilongwe]. Depart Lilongwe at approx 0900 in the transfer bus/vehicle. Continue to Mchinji. [1&1/2 hr drive] Here we complete immigration formalities and continue to Mwami - [the Zambian border]. From the border it is a short drive to Chipata - Zambia's capital of the Eastern Province. Proceed on a dirt road to Luangwa Valley - Mfuwe sector. A picnic lunch is enjoyed en route and ETA at the Lodge is mid afternoon. On arrival check into your chalets followed by tea and coffee. Dinner is served from 19H30 onwards.Day 2: - After a light snack with tea & coffee we depart for a morning drive at 06H00. All game drives are undertaken in open game viewing vehicles, to optimise your pleasure and experience. Drinks and snacks are taken along for your enjoyment whilst in the park. Depending on game sightings, we return to the lodge at 11 for a scrumptious "brunch". An afternoon rest, swim, tea then we again head out for our afternoon/ night drive at around 16H00 - returning to the lodge at 20H00. Evening Dinner
Day 3: - This morning we drive out for a whole day drive. We take snacks and a light lunch with refreshments and leave the Mfuwe area to explore an entirely different area of the park [Lion Camp area]. The day is spent in the park and we return as it gets dark, where we relax at the lodge and await dinner
Day 4: - Tea, coffee and a light snack follow an early morning wake up call. Out aim is to again depart as early as possible. Drinks and snacks are taken with for your enjoyment whilst in the park. Depending on game sightings, we return to the lodge at 11 for a delicious "brunch". An afternoon rest or a visit to the tribal textiles craft shop, followed by tea, coffee and biscuits then we again head out for our afternoon drive at 16H00 and return at 20H00. Dinner.
Day 5: - This morning we drive out for a whole day drive again. We take snacks and a light lunch with refreshments and leave the Mfuwe area to explore an entirely different area of the park [Nsefu Sector]. The day is spent in the park and we return as it gets dark, where we relax at the lodge and await dinner.
Day 6: - After a light snack with tea & coffee we depart for a morning drive [or game walk – seasonal only] at 06H00. Drinks and snacks are taken along for your enjoyment whilst in the park. Depending on game sightings, we return to the lodge at 11 for a scrumptious "brunch". An afternoon visit to the tribal textiles craft shop or nearby community centre is offered, returning in time for the afternoon / night drive. Evening Dinner
Day 7: - This morning a more leisurely start to the day with breakfast after which we pack up and return back to Lilongwe. A picnic lunch is eaten en route and ETA in the city is 1500. A free drop off service is offered in Lilongwe
Included in the above package: All transport Lilongwe return, 6 nights lodge accommodation, all meals, 8 X game drives.
Excluded in the above package: Drinks, visa fees [if applicable], park entrance fees [$ 125 p/p].
