Day 1 – Depart Lilongwe and via a brief stop in Dedza, continue to Zomba. After a walk through the vibrant local market, we drive up the plateau and check into the beautifully positioned Ku Chawe Inn. In the afternoon, we do a walk along a nearby stream. Overnight Ku Chawe Inn on Dinner, bed and breakfast basis.
Day 2 – After breakfast, drive via the Phalombe plain to Mulanje Mountain. The route affords the visitor an impressive view of the massif as you approach. Arrival at you Lodge in Mulanje is before lunch. The afternoon is spent exploring the lower slopes of this impressive mountain or a visit to one of the nearby tea plantations. Overnight Lodge on Dinner, bed and breakfast basis.
Day 3 – After breakfast via Thyolo and the extensive tea and coffee plantations, through Blantyre, the commercial capital of Malawi and then descend into the lower shire valley. As we cross the mighty shire river, we drive to the newly opened and restocked Majete Wildlife Reserve. Majete is fast becoming one of Malawi’s best reserves and already boasts an impressive selection of wild animals. Tawale Camp offers comfortable facilities and good service in a wildlife reserve. Overnight Thawale Camp on full board basis.
Day 4 – The day is spent on a morning walk then an afternoon game drive, returning to the camp for delicious meals and time to relax. Overnight Thawale Lodge on full board basis.
Day 5 – After breakfast, drive to Cape Maclear. Our route takes us past Mangochi and arrival in Cape Maclear is after lunch. Cape Maclear is picture perfect and you will stay in luxury, comfort and style at Danforth Lodge. All meals, endless cups of tea and coffee and all non motorised watersport activities are included. Overnight Danforth Lodge on Full board basis.
Day 6: - Relax, swim, walk through the nearby village, kayak, sail, snorkel – toady is yours to do as you wish – All meals and non motorized watersports included. Overnight Danforth Lodge on full board basis.
Day 7: - After a more leisurely start to the morning and a full breakfast, we pack up and depart back to Lilongwe. Departure time is around 10H00 and we will be back in Lilongwe by early afternoon. A free drop off service is offered in Lilongwe. Breakfast & Lunch

Zomba is a relatively low-lying plateau interrupted by a number of large mountains. Zomba Mountain, the largest is a hikers paradise with plentiful birds, small mammals and offering wonderful views across to Mulanje Mountain and Mozambique. Zomba was the capital of Malawi till 1975 and was the seat of parliament until 1994. Livingstone and John Kirk climbed Zomba peak in 1859 during their Zambezi Expedition
Mulanje – Malawi’s Island in the sky – rising to 3005 m asl, is Malawi’s highest point. Beautifully manicured tea plantations run along the lower slopes and craggy valleys and impressive peaks make for awe inspiring scenery.
Majete Game Park is now home to a wide variety of animals from Elephants, Rhino’s, buffalo, numerous antelope species and the accompanying predator population. This new initiative is a joint operation between the Department of National Parks and Wildlife, Malawi’s national parks custodian and the international African Peace Parks foundation.
Lake Malawi is the worlds 11th largest Lake and Africa’s 3rd – This fresh water inland sea is home to the famous Chichlid fish species and there is no better place to sees these colourful fish than in Cape Maclear.
