Day 1
: - Meet at the Land and Lake Office at 0830 in the morning. [A free collection service is offered to clients in Lilongwe]. Depart Lilongwe at 0900. Continue to Mchinji. [1&1/2 hr drive] Here we complete immigration formalities and continue to Mwami - [the Zambian border]. From the border it is a short drive to Chipata - Zambia's capital of the Eastern Province. Proceed on a dirt road to Luangwa Valley - Mfuwe sector. A picnic lunch is enjoyed en route and ETA at the Lodge is mid afternoon. On arrival we check into our chalets followed by tea and coffee. Afternoon at leisure. Evening dinner.   

Day 2: - After a light snack with tea & coffee we depart for a morning drive at 06H00. All game drives are undertaken in open game viewing vehicles, to optimise your pleasure and experience. Drinks and snacks are taken along for your enjoyment whilst in the park. Depending on game sightings, we return to the lodge at 11 for a scrumptious "brunch". An afternoon rest, swim, tea then we again head out for our afternoon/ night drive at around 16H00 - returning to the lodge at 20H00. Evening Dinner

Day 3: -  Tea, coffee and a light snack follow an early morning wake up call. Out aim is to again depart as early as possible. Drinks and snacks are taken with for your enjoyment whilst in the park. Depending on game sightings, we return to the lodge at 11 for a delicious "brunch". An afternoon rest [or visit to tribal textiles craft shop] or swim is followed by tea, coffee and biscuits then we again head out for our afternoon drive at 16H00 and return at 20H00. Evening Dinner.

Day 4: - This morning a more leisurely start to the day with breakfast after which we pack up and return back to Lilongwe via the popular tribal textiles craft shop if time allows.  A picnic lunch is eaten en route and ETA in the city is 1500. A free drop off service is offered in Lilongwe

Luangwa Valley -  9050 sq km of pristine woodland and riverine vegetation plays host to over 40 mammal and 650 bird species. The South Luangwa has been described as the premier park in Africa foremost for the variety of species seen when visiting. A visit to Malawi and Zambia would be totally incomplete without experiencing the sheer magnitude and delight of this unique area.

Thornicroft – This newly built Lodge is situated on the banks of the Luangwa River overlooking the National Park. The lodge offers luxurious accommodation in double canvass and stone en suite chalets each with their own private verandah.. Each room has been carefully positioned to afford guests maximum privacy and the attention to detail in the chalets makes them luxurious. Professionally guided drives are undertaken in specially modified 4 wheel drive game viewing vehicles to enhance your pleasure and experience.

Kafunta River Lodge is set in riverine forest on the banks of the Luangwa River. Central to the chalets is the spacious dining area with a bar and 2 X pools adjacent. Each thatched chalet is raised on stilts with their own private verandah and en suite facilities. There is a bar fridge, fan, walk in mosquito nets, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities in each chalet 

MFUWE LODGE is set amongst huge Ebony and Fig trees on the banks of a beautiful lagoon. The lodge is inside the national park.  The lodge has is 220v electricity and potable drinking water. 
Central to the chalets is the spacious dining area with a bar and pool.
Each thatched chalet has their own private verandah and en suite facilities. Each chalet has a fridge,  and walk in mosquito net. There is a library available with ample reading material. 
Price based on 2 people sharing a chalet. Single supplement is levied if you do not want to share. 
Towels are provided for bathing and for the swimming pool.  The lodge is informal and there is no need to dress for dinner
