Diving in Lake Malawi
Malawi is one of the safest places to learn to scuba dive - warm water, no currents and excellent visibility make the lake a wonderful place to dive. 5 Day resident courses and single dives for experienced divers are readily available. PADI qualified instructors are found at all dive centers, with up to date equipment and facilities. 

Kayaking Safari.  Suggested short itinerary
Day 1: - Drive to Cape Maclear and on arrival we transfer by boat to our island camp. Overnight Island Camp on FB basis

Day 2: 
Early morning swimming and paddle is the perfect start to your day. Snorkel, fish, swim and listen to the cry of the fish eagle whilst you enjoy wholesome cuisine from the privacy of your exclusive camp. Overnight Island Camp [Scuba Diving optional extra]

Day 3 -
The final day consists of a last swim, breakfast then a paddle [or boat] back to the mainland before we drive to Mua Mission cultural craft workshop and museum. Here we enjoy a short visit, before proceeding back to Lilongwe. ETA is late afternoon. 

Bush and Sailing Safari 
Day 1: - Depart Lilongwe at 0900 and continue to the Zambian border. From the border proceed on a dirt road to Luangwa Valley - Mfuwe sector. Arrive at Thornicroft Lodge where we are welcomed with cold refreshing drinks.
Day 2,3 & 4: - Morning and afternoon / night drives are offered. All game drives are undertaken in open game viewing vehicles, to optimise your pleasure and experience.
Day 5: - Lilongwe Hotel DBB
Day 6:- Transfer to Senga Bay then set sail to Chiofu Bay on the Eastern shores of Lake Malawi. Overnight on "Mufasa" at anchor in the bay.
Day 7:- Up anchor and  sail northwards to Palmeiros. Lush palm trees make this a pretty overnight anchorage.
Day 8:- Set sail early in the morning to Likoma Island. Explore the Island. Find anchorage in one of the many bays around the island.  Swim, dive, snorkel, rest and relax.  Meals on board the yacht.  Overnight at anchor. 
Day 9:- Sail across to Chisimulu Island. Go for a leisurely walk on Chisimulu Island. Have a drink in the unique bar-in-the-baobab tree.  Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 10:- Sail across to the mainland.  Arrive at Makuzi Beach Lodge in the shelter of Bandawe point, just south of Chinteche.  Beautiful bay, clean white beaches, super beach-side lodge.  Guests check into Makuzi Beach lodge for dinner, bed and breakfast. 
Day 11:- After breakfast guests take a road transfer to Lilongwe (+- 4 hours)

Cichlids  Brightly coloured tropical fish or "cichlids" are abundant in lake Malawi.Dive with a cichlid expert, learn about the fish of Lake Malawi, their behaviour and breeding patterns, and how to identify some of the many hundreds of species. See mouth brooders sucking in and releasing their young, witness the "play dead" fish attack his prey, watch out for the "around the corner fish", and the "upside down fish".  Learn the scientific names, differentiate between males and females of the same species, watch the spawning process, understand more about nesting, increase your awareness of our underwater environment.

A suggested FISHING Expedition - You will need - sleeping bac- We provide - Light tents; mattresses and bedding. Drive to Senga Bay and sail out over the lake to the remote Eastern Bank -  the last night spent in chalets at Red Zebra Lodge. Cooking - A Malawian cook travels with guests preparing meals on gas rings and charcoal brazier.
Fishing equipment -  Fishermen to supply their own. The Rapala blue sinking "COUNTDOWN" lures - 5 and 7cms work well.
