What's so great about these 16 Days?

A wonderful Southern Malawi exploration with an extension into South Luangwa National Park. This combination of the best of the regions wildlife destinations coupled with the rich cultural and historical elements of Malawi make this an ideal all-rounder tour. 

Spend some days enjoying the best of Lake Malawi, enjoy a cultural exploration of Mua Mission and immerse yourself in the community of Dzalanyama. 

Activities such as hiking, walking, game drives, river safari, sunset cruises, swimming and even an exploration of one of Malawi's tea estates means everyone has something to enjoy!

The Full itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Blantyre & Overnight in the city

Day 2: Head down to Majete Wildlife Reserve

Day 3: Game drive with Land & Lake in Majete 

Day 4: Head across to Thyolo Tea Estates

Day 5: Visit the local tea plantation for a tea tour and a local lunch

Day 6: Head up to Zomba Plateau and visit the British postal museum

Day 7: Continue to Liwonde National park for a boat safari, lunch and then on to Cape Maclear

Day 8: Relax on the shores of Lake Malawi

Day 9: Another day relaxing on the beaches of Cape Maclear, ending with a sundowner cruise on the lake

Day 10: Drive across to Mua Mission for a cultural and historical evening

Day 11: Wind up the Dedza escarpment, stopping at the famous Dedza pottery and then on to Dzalanyama 

Day 12: Community day with Dzalanyama residents

Day 13: Head through the border to Zambia

Day 14: Spend the day in South Luangwa National Park

Day 15: Spend the day in South Luangwa National Park

Day 16: Fly down to Lusaka from Mfuwe (Included) or road transfer back to Lilongwe

You travel comfortably, air-conditioned buses and modified safari vehicles take you cross-country and beyond!

The costs above are inclusive of 16.5% VAT  -  The only addition to the above costs is a mandatory 1% Tourism Levy that we must add to your invoice, a 1 % Conservation Levy that goes towards our in-country projects & a bank transfer fee of $18.00.

We aim to ensure there are no hidden costs when it comes to advertised rates.

All our tours are guaranteed with just four people booked on, and we only take a maximum of 12 guests to ensure you get the best out of your journey!
