2023 saw a return to normal travel services across Land & Lake and Malawi and what a wonderful year to be back in the full swing of tourism again!
Check out some of the highlights from this year with over 400 of our guests from across the globe.
Three generations made up of 17 family members made Land & Lake history this year with the largest single self-drive expedition across Malawi & Zambia.
We welcomed a new team in the reservations office, as well as expanding our cafe and Dzalanyama team members - Coupled with some brand new uniforms!

Completing Dzalanyama Forest Lodge's campsite & two new chalets as well as hosting Dzalanyama's first Halloween Weekend.
Our most popular year to date for fully-Kitted self driving to further locations. This year our vehicles travelled through Botswana, Zimbabwe, Tanzania as well as of course, Malawi & Zambia with families, couples and individuals from across the world.
2023 Saw Vasco in Bangweulu Wetlands, North Luangwa, Kapishya and Mutinondo Wilderness in Zambia the most he's been in a single season.
4 back to back tours along some of Zambia's most remote destinations with our popular Wild Zambia scheduled tour and private guided expeditions.
We also celebrated Vasco's incredible achievement of being recognized as one of Malawi's top guides by the Malawi Tourism Council!
We welcomed two new Hilux's to our fully Kitted fleet!
Two Fully Kitted vehicles are equipped with two roof-top tents and can sleep up to 4 adults.
Our other two vehicles have the newer model rooftop tent that faces the rear and can sleep two adults.
One of our new vehicles is an automatic, giving our guests now more flexibility in their choices!
We expanded our Land & Lake Cafe!
By adding Malawi's first on-tap beer, seasonal menus and welcoming another chef and waiter to the team.
It has been a year of achievement, travel and celebration as we have resumed to normal operation and look forward to a future now of rebuilding.
